Each year Wolverine Bank employees select a local non-profit group that may need help throughout the winter season and sponsor that organization and its efforts to help our local community. This year, employees have decided to focus on the West Midland Family Center (WMFC) and its need for winter boots and tennis shoes for its youth.
“Employees enjoy giving back to our community,” said Deanne Marszalkowski, Marketing Specialist for Wolverine Bank. “Our employees are a reflection of the good that can be found right here in Midland County and I’m truly honored to work with such a generous group of people.”
Wolverine Bank will be collecting winter boots and tennis shoes for the youth of Midland County from now until December 15th. The greatest need is for preschool sizes 10, 11, and 12 as well as youth sizes of 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Wolverine Bank employees will also be hosting an employee luncheon to raise funds to support the cause and Wolverine Bank will match dollar for dollar what employees raise.
“We appreciate what Wolverine Bank and its employees are doing. It certainly will help to provide warm boots and shoes for at risk or low income youth of Midland County,” said Renee Young of the West Midland Family Center. “Nearly all of the youth we help are from right here in our community and participate in the center’s programming. It’s nice to be able to see where donations are being utilized.”
Collection points for the drive will be at any of the three Midland Wolverine Bank locations (5710 Eastman Avenue, 118 Ashman Street, and 1015 S. Saginaw Road in Midland). For additional information, contact Deanne Marszalkowski, Marketing Specialist at (989)633-3463.
